I've practiced the art and craft of photography since watching my first print appear in the darkroom tray at the age of ten.

The process is different now but the magic is still the same. Some of my artist friends think photography isn't a true 'art'. That nothing is created by the photographer in the way that other artists create. Others say that digital manipulation takes away from 'true' photography. 

I tend to think of it is an art, the art of seeing the moment, planned or not.  And then the darkroom/computer helps make the moment available to others.  In the end what does it matter, art or craft - it makes me happy to make and show these images.
